『8bit年代記』は、一種の自伝的ゲーム歴史マンガです。
ゲームの歴史は昨今様々に語られておりますが、この作品では当時の一個人「ぼく」の印象を元に、1979年からの代表的なゲームソフト、ハードの体験を編年体形式で描きつつ、2007年2月から様々な形での連載を続けています。
この新装版第一巻は、クラウドファンディングの特典として制作したもので、マイクロマガジン社版の単行本に比べますと判型がB5版と大きく、カラーページが加えられ、装丁も若干豪華です。旧単行本未収録の回もあわせて収録した完全版となります。数量限定の特別販売です。

The 8-bit Chronicles is a kind of autobiographical video game history comic.
The history of games has been told in various ways recently, but this work depicts the experiences of representative game software and hardware since 1979 in a chronological style, based on the impressions of one individual ‘me’ at the time, and has been serialised in various forms since February 2007.
The first volume of this new edition was produced as a crowdfunding benefit, and has a larger B5 format, more colour pages and a slightly more luxurious binding than the Micro Magazine edition. It is a complete edition that also includes the times that were not included in the old book. This is a special sale in limited quantities.
